ACHIEVEMENTS

® COMMUNITY AWARENESS AGAINST THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS IN AFRICA, (CAASCA)

Interestingly, the Joint Faith Peace Initiative in addition to other important achievements during the Coronavirus including the empowerment and sponsorships programs, has a notable achievement in its response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, the organization collaborated with the Nigerian Television Authority International to produce a community awareness program titled “Community Awareness Against the Spread of Coronavirus in Africa.” This initiative demonstrates the organization’s proactive approach to addressing critical global health issues, and documentary evidence of this program is available, highlighting the organization’s commitment to community service and public health.

® JOINT FAITH FREE TRAINING ON FISH FARMING (JFFTFF)

The Joint Faith Peace Initiative, in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS), successfully launched the Free Fish Farming Training program across Nigerian states. This initiative, which is still ongoing, demonstrates the organization’s dedication to community development and food security. Although the program currently faces financial constraints, particularly in the area of empowerment following training, the Joint Faith Peace Initiative remains committed to its mission. ® MEGA PEACE MOVEMENT, (MPM)

The Joint Faith Peace Initiative has indeed been a trailblazer in promoting peaceful and credible elections in Nigeria. Through the Mega Peace Movement, the organization has indeed demonstrated unwavering commitment to free, fair, and peaceful elections, collaborating with esteemed organizations like the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, the National Youth Council of Nigeria, and the National Council for Women Society.

Their  efforts are particularly significant given Nigeria’s history of election malpractices and rigging. By consistently campaigning against these issues, the Joint Faith Peace Initiative has proven its dedication to fostering a more democratic Nigeria.

Some notable initiatives that showcase our commitment to peaceful elections include:

– National Prayer Conferences: Bringing together traditional rulers and religious leaders across faith and ethnic lines to pray for peaceful elections and the nation’s well-being.

– 72Hours Marathon Prayers and Fasting : A nationwide initiative that promotes unity and peaceful coexistence.

® JOINT FAITH AGRIBUSINESS EMPOWERMENT PROJECT (JFAEP) :

The Joint Faith Agribusiness Empowerment Project is a groundbreaking initiative promoting peace-building and sustainable agricultural development in Nigeria. By fostering an enabling environment for food security and zero hunger, JFAEP aims to alleviate economic hardship, joblessness, insecurity, and crime, ensuring nationwide food sufficiency.

In partnership with key stakeholders, including the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Bank of Agriculture, NIRSAL (Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending), and Bank of Industry, JFAEP has received a letter of credence from the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security.

Despite its potential, JFAEP faces significant financial constraints, hindering its nationwide expansion. Nevertheless, documentary evidence attests to the organization’s unwavering commitment to community service, agricultural stability, and food security.

We firmly believe that initiatives like JFAEP are crucial to Nigeria’s achievement of sustainable agricultural development, economic growth, and peace-building, ultimately ensuring a brighter future for the nation.

®  JOINT FAITH MASS LITERACY SCHEME :

The Joint Faith Mass Literacy Empowerment Scheme is a flagship project of the Joint Faith Peace Initiative, designed to promote national unity, enhance national development, prosperity, and security through mass literacy. This innovative initiative aims to empower individuals and communities across Nigeria, fostering a culture of literacy and education that transcends ethnic, religious, and socio-economic divides.By promoting mass literacy, the Joint Faith Mass Literacy Empowerment Scheme seeks to:

– Enhance national development by equipping citizens with essential skills for socio-economic mobility

– Foster national unity by bridging literacy gaps and promoting inclusive education

– Promote prosperity by empowering individuals to access better economic opportunities

– Ensure national security by addressing the root causes of insecurity, such as illiteracy and unemployment.

Through the Joint Faith Mass Literacy Empowerment Scheme, the Joint Faith Peace Initiative reaffirms its unwavering commitment to education as a powerful catalyst for national development and peace-building. The Most Performing Interfaith Community Award (MPIC)

The Most Performing Interfaith Community Award (MPIC) in 2004 is a notable recognition of the Joint Faith Peace Initiative’s efforts in promoting peace and unity in Nigeria. This prestigious award was presented by the National Executive Committee of Traditional Rulers and Leaders of Thought for National Peace and Unity of Nigeria, which was inaugurated by the then-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, General Olusegun Obasanjo.

✓ The most Leading Interfaith Community In Nigeria Award, (MLICIN)

The Joint Faith Peace Initiative received the prestigious Most Leading Interfaith Community in Nigeria Award (MLICIN) in 2009. This honor was bestowed upon the organization by the Abia State Traditional Rulers Council, Abia State Council of Ndi Eze, in recognition of its outstanding contributions to interfaith dialogue and community development in Nigeria.

✓ The “Hope of the Nation” Award,  (HON).

HON award is a prestigious honor that recognizes outstanding contributions to national development and peace-building. In 2009, the Joint Faith Peace Initiative received this esteemed award from the Niger State Traditional Rulers Council (NSTRC)

This recognition underscores the Joint Faith Peace Initiative’s tireless efforts to promote peace, understanding, and development in Nigeria.

The “Hope of the Nation” award is a testament to the organization’s commitment to fostering a culture of peace and harmony among Nigeria’s diverse population.

The Joint Faith Peace Initiative received the prestigious Peace Parliament (PM) award in 2012. This honor was bestowed upon the organization by the Traditional Rulers Council of the Wepa Wanno Kingdom, Etsako East, in recognition of its outstanding contributions to promoting peace and harmony in the region.

The Joint Faith Peace Initiative was honored with the prestigious Nigeria’s Foremost and Largest Interfaith Community (NFLIC) award in 2020. This esteemed recognition was presented by the Ezeukwu Executive Council, Ngwaland, Abia State, in acknowledgment of the organization’s remarkable achievements in promoting interfaith dialogue, understanding, and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.
