Peace is a fundamental issue upon which all other issues of security, progress and development of any community is built. Unity and Peaceful coexistence among various peoples having varied opinion bothering on religious, ethnic and other pressing differences at the front burner, key amongst which is quality leadership. Good leadership however, is a role expected of all segments of the society. It is in this spirit that we see the need to sensitize every segment of the local, national and international community to understand the need for unity and peaceful coexistence amongst their peoples, and to promote quality leadership that will enhance the conditions for peace especially as it relates to the contexts of intra and interreligious conflicts.

JFPI is a time-tested thoroughly experienced, faith based peace engineering non-Governmental and non-profit organization that aims primarily at bringing to the fore the many violent tendencies that bedevils the nations of the earth, the negative impact on the socio-economic development of such nations, particularly Nigeria and to adequately proffer workable solutions to this numerous challenges.

Nigeria as a nation has passed through thick and thin, such as the sustained negative impact of the civil war, consistent ethno-religious crisis, youth restiveness, violence against women, human rights violations in different ramifications, the recent militancy in the Niger Delta, gross kidnapping scenario all over the nation, as well as the Boko Haram crisis in the Northern part of the country e.t.c

In the thinking of JFPI as an organization, every community leader has a role to play, to bring to an end this ugly phenomenon of intolerance so as to pave way for rapid development of our nation within the ambiance of cordiality. This, we believe is the only step towards speedy realization of our full potentials as a great nation.

The vision of JFPl is to make Nigeria a united, peaceful and safe nation for all her citizens and residence no matter their ethnic, religious and ideological persuasions, to create an enabling environment for positive interaction and contribute to its development through mutual understanding, respect and tolerance.

O U R  S T R A T E G Y

The JFPI engages experts, community and religious leaders, political leaders and the business community especially at grassroots level to:

* Build the nipit at idey potential threats to peace in our communities with a

* Identify patriotic leaders who contribute to unity and peaceful co-existence and the development of their communities so as to celebrate them and show-case them as role models.

* Promote the spirit of selfless service to the community through patriotism, loyalty and dedication with the goal to better serve the community and our dear nation at large.

*Bring together youths and community leaders from various backgrounds to create awareness on issues like their civic duties, rights and responsibilities to their nation, community and to one another, individually and collectively.

* Reestablish our traditional moral values and aspects of communal life through various multi-ethnic leadership forums that build higher social capital in our fast changing communities.

* Sponsor and participate in seminars, workshops conferences and summits in programs that are aimed at spreading the message of peaceful coexistence, harmony, cordiality and tolerance among diverse segments of the country.
